WWE Predictions: Wrestlemania 34

WWE Predictions: Wrestlemania 34

We are back bay-bay! After taking a month off we four have come back together for the largest wrestling show of the year, Wrestlemania 34.

WM poster.jpg

This isn't just the biggest wrestling show of the year, it may be the biggest Wrestlemania ever. This card is stacked! So without further delay, let's get this going

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

WM Andre.jpg

Voting and scoring for both Battle Royal matches are the same as last year. Each of us will pick three different possible winners. First pick earns 3 points, Second pick earns 2 points, Third earns 1 point.

Brundan: Surprise entrant: Brother Nero. To be honest, who care who wins this match.  No one ever does anything after they win.  Cesaro became  a Paul heyman guy who's career fell off a cliff, Big Show did nothing, Corbin did less, and Mojo won to get Gronk on TV. - Elias #1 - Dolph Ziggler #2 - "Woken"  Matt Hardy #3

Pink: He has a lot of talent, and should be the next one one to get that push like Corbin.
 - Tye Dillinger #1 - Elias #2 - Chad Gable #3

Double A: What's the point of this match if it's been relegated to the pre-show and the past two winners have done nothing with their careers (at least Cesaro is a great tag champ)? I actually think that may come into play, with either Mojo or Baron winning it this year, becoming the first to ever win it twice, which will still do nothing for their career. Or this could be the platform to elevate a returning wrestler, or an NXT call-up. - Big Cass #1 - Baron Corbin #2 - Johnny Gargano #3

Rybo Slice: Deleted!!!! Yes! Matt Hardy is going to win! - Matt Hardy #1 - Baron Corbin #2 - Kane #3

Cedric Alexander v Mustafa Ali (Finals for the Cruiserweight Championship match)

WM CW.jpg

Pink: Both are probably very deserving of the title. And the match will be a good one, but I have no real reason to pick one of the other. - Cedric Alexander

Double A: This whole tournament has been built around making Cedric the next 205 star, right? I think that may have been the intention at first, but with the Greatest Royal Rumble PPV coming up in Saudi Arabia, I think plans may have changed in order to have a Middle Easterner hold the belt for the show. - Mustafa Ali

Rybo Slice: No fun. 205 is dead in the water but we need a champ. Cedric is the coolest dude left on the roster so it’s got to be him. Easy one! - Cedric Alexander

Brundan: I wish I still had the Network just to watch the revamped 205 Live.  It seems like they really had this on track for the first time since the Classic.  I'm surprised that it's Ali instead of Gulak who should do a power point on why it should be him.  But now I believe Cedric finally gets the big W here in a feel good moment.  This could steal the show. - Cedric Alexander

Wrestlemania Women's Battle Royal

WM Womens.jpg

Rybo Slice: I gotta go with the boss on this one. Sasha for the win! - Sasha Banks #1 - Becky Lynch #2 - Ruby Riottt #3

Brundan: Surprise Entrant: Peyton Royce. How are they going to get 30 women for this?  They should have just done 20.  It should be interesting I hope and hopefully have some great NXT women...ICONIC DUE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! - Sasha Banks #1 - Bayley #2 - Becky Lynch #3

Pink: Give her a win for once. - Tamina #1 - Ruby Riottt #2 - Naomi #3

Double A: The only females to have a storyline, and not involved in other matches are Bayley and Sasha Banks, so they seem to be the obvious finalists. However, I think this is going to be used to elevate Becky Lynch, because she deserves better than what she's been handed of late. - Becky Lynch #1 - Bayley #2 - Sasha Banks #3

Main Card

Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn (if Owens and Zayn win, they are rehired)

WM Bryan Zayn.jpg

Double A: Daniel Bryan is back! I didn't think I missed him as much as I have, but I'm glad we've got The Beard back. I hate that it's in a match that involves Sweaty Shane. Granted he can't be thrown into a title picture right away, but he deserves better. The stipulation of Owens and Zayn being fired from Smackdown leaves it open for them to go to Raw. I've heard talk of a  heel turn for Bryan, but no one wants to see a heel Daniel Bryan already. I can't see this going any other way, than a Daniel Bryan win - Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon

Rybo Slice: I originally thought Shane and Daniel all the way but after some thinking..KO and Sami will take them down. More drama that way between the GMs. - Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

Brundan:  DANIEL BRYAN IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I haven't been this excited for a return since....I don't know, maybe never.  Shane sucks so much and is a channel changer for me.  I was hoping when Owens and Sami destroyed him he would be gone for a long time.  Any way something fishy is going to happen.  Someone is turning and either way it's not gonna make sense.  Owens and Sami win when Shane I think screws Bryan. - Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

Pink: It is Daniel’s first match back on the big stage. So I wouldn’t think that WWE would hand him a lose. - Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon

Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey vs Triple H and Stephanie McMahon

WM Rousey HHH.jpg

Rybo Slice: This is a super easy one. Kurt and Ronda all the way. I still hate seeing Ronda’s face after she got put through a table...she looked so silly acting hurt and mad at the same time. I hope she taps Steph out mega quick. Don’t drag it out. Ronda’s a beast! - Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey

Double A: Similar to Daniel's return match, Ronda isn't losing her first match back. Add to the fact that this is also Kurt Angle's 'Mania's return, is there any way this match can go in a different way?  - Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey

Pink: Same reasons I have for Daniel winning his match. It’s Ronda’s big match, and handing this great acquisition her first lost would be a really bad move. - Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey

Brundan: I'm not too excited for this one.  I haven't cared about anything HHH has done in years, I want to see ANgle wrestle someone new not some he has wrestled 10000 times.  Also Rosey is the baddest women around against a 40 year old mother of three who was never a real wrestler ever.  She can take her with both hands tied behind her back blindfolded.  Angle and Rosey win. - Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey

The Usos (c) v The New Day v The Bludgeon Brothers (Triple Threat Smackdown Tag Team Championship match)

WM Smackdown Tag Team.jpg

Brundan: And it's Usos and New Day in a match together again.  The Usos need a trip to raw as they have done everything there is on Smackdown.  Them vs the Bar, Revival, Hardy and such should be Great.  I'm going with the Bludgeon brothers as the titles need a change. - The Bludgeon Brothers

Rybo Slice: USO’s got this. The brothers will get the belts in time...I don’t see it goin down on the big stage though. Should be a solid match though. I hope they use those damn hammers!!! - The Usos

Double A: I'm actually torn on this one, I am a huse Uso fan, and would like to see them retain tonight at 'Mania but I think this is the coming out party for the Bludgeon Brothers. They've been dominant since their repackaging, and a win here would solidify them as a team to pay attention to.  - The Bludgeon Brothers

Pink: I would take the Usos & New Day Feud all day, everyday, but this is a good way for the WWE to give credence to the Bludgeon Brothers, and give us a new tag team in the hunt for the titles. - The Bludgeon Brothers

The Bar (c) vs Braun Strowman and TBD (Raw Tag Team Championship match)

WM Raw Tag.jpg

Pink: Because no matter who Braun uses, or doesn’t, he should win hands down. - Braun Strowman and TBD

Brundan: My original prediction for Braun's partner was Hawkins.  He loses something like 200 matches in a row just to win on the biggest stage.  However that got thrown out when Braun threw him through a wall.  However Braun wins with his new partner Samoa Joe. - Braun Strowman and TBD

Rybo Slice: I hope Braun got a cool partner...Hope it’s not that fake brother crap. Damn this for being hard. I want Braun to win. The Bar is boring as all hell so I’m gonna go wit Team Braun! - Braun Strowman and TBD

Double A: No matter who Braun chooses he has to win. I've heard a shit ton of rumors on who his partner will be from Big Show to Big Cass, from Alexa Bliss to Sister Abigail, from a Samoan named Joe to some Joe schmoe, no matter who it is, Braun is winning. And my pick for his partner is the reincarnated Bray Wyatt, either that or no one at all because I really want to see Braun holding both belts. - Braun Strowman and TBD

Charlotte Flair (c) v Asuka (Smackdown Women's Championship match)

WM Smackdown Womens.jpg

Double A: Charlotte has grown by leaps and bounds over the last year, but I don't see them ending Asuka's streak just yet. Don't think there's much else to sa, but NO BODY IS READY FOR ASUKA!!!!!! - Asuka

Pink: This will also be a great match, and the win will go to Asuka. But the only reason is because they aren’t going to give Asuka a lose just yet. - Asuka

Brundan: Asuka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This should be good but Asuka should not lose at least for another year.  Her vs Rhonda next year I hope at Mania. - Asuka

Rybo Slice: The undefeated ass kicker shall continue dominating and a new women’s champion will be crowned! - Asuka

Alexa Bliss (c) v Nia Jax (Raw Women's Championship match)

WM Raw womens.jpg

Brundan: Squash.  This should not go more than 3 minutes tops.  Nia wins and continues to not impress.  Maybe she is too nice to be a monster. - Nia Jax

Rybo Slice: Nia should destroy her but I see only one new women’s champ this Wrestlemania. Foul play will be done and Bliss will escape as the champion. - Alexa Bliss

Double A: Realistically Nia should have little trouble putting away Little Miss Bliss, but I think 5 Feet of Fury will finish the match with the belt, but in an underhanded way that will invoke Nia's wrath. She's going to get destroyed leaving her easy pickings for Mrs. Money in the Bank Carmella who will be switching shows to Raw as the new (and very temporary) champ. I'm thinking Nia gets a countout win. - Nia Jax

Pink: Like with the Miz I will vote for Alexa 99% of the time even when I shouldn’t. Nia will probably get the win to build a new story for Nia like WWE was going to do sometime back. Plus if she wins, Roman, Usos, and my pick for Women’s Battle Royal, Tamina, it will be a Family ending in the Ring. - Alexa Bliss

The Undertaker v John Cena

WM Taker Cena.jpg

Rybo Slice: Damnnnnn...Does the Deadman return to lose yet again?! Does Cena dip out on a lose to Taker?! This can go either way. Ugh! Of course I want Cena to win but I just don’t know. I’m gonna pick Taker on this. I’m going to be beyond pissed if Cena wins and I betted against him. Damn this match to hell! Cena will REST...IN...PEACE!. - The Undertaker

Double A: I for one have no interest in seeing the American Badass return at Mania, but a Kid Rock concert will end with his entrance music, and out comes Taker on the bike to finally answer Cena. He will destroy Cena, and there should be no other outcome allowed. - The Undertaker

Pink: I just have to vote Undertaker - The Undertaker

Brundan: I have no idea if this will actually even be a match.  Taker should have been going into the Hall of Fame this year.  Last year was the perfect exit for him, unless he comes back as biker taker.  I still don't know if this will be a match so I'm going no contest. - No Contest

Randy Orton (c) v Bobby Roode v Jinder Mahal v Rusev (Fatal 4-way United States Championship match)

WM US 4way.jpg

Double A: IT'S  RUSEV DAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any other outcome, and I riot. - Rusev

Pink: I don’t want to say it, but it should be said if you are going to pick Rusev. IT’S RUSEV DAY!!!! - Rusev

Brundan: Jinder just sucks so bad.  Bobby Roode is Glorious however I feel like they need to do more with him.  Orton is Orton and this should be 100 times better then the shit fest match he had last year.  However one man needs to win this match and that is Russev.  He is so popular and the place would explode.  It would be fantastic since he gets to win on Rusev Day. - Rusev

Rybo Slice: I’ve been goin back and fourth with this. I thought Roode for a hot while but I see him beating Orton straight up to get the title back. So Baron will eat a RKO and lose. Winner RKO - Randy Orton

The Miz (c) v Seth Rollins v Finn Balor (Triple Threat Intercontinental Championship match)

WM IC.jpg

Pink: I would pick the Miz most of the time, but the fact the him & Maryse just had their baby girl I see him taking some time off. As for Seth he doesn’t need a push at the moment, but he does need a real story. I think that Finn should win, because right I think he needs both of those things right now. - Finn Balor

Brundan: I still can't stand the Miz and I doubt I ever will.  I wish this was just Seth and Finn tearing down the house however this still could steal the show.  I think that Finn takes it.  He isn't getting any younger and this needs to be his year.  Hopefully he beats Roman again. - Finn Balor

Rybo Slice: Oh nelly this is tough but I think I got this! I don’t see Miz retaining bc he needs to go away. Rollins is eh and doesn’t need it. I think it’s Balor time! He needs some gold and I think he’ll get it on the biggest stage of them all! - Finn Balor

Double A: This should be a damned good match, with a shit ton of potential, and I can understand arguments for each of these guys walking away with the belt, but end of the day, Miz just became a father, and he really should go spend time with his family. Finn's stock has gone down in Vince's eyes, and Seth still has infinite potential. For that, I'm giving it to Rollins. - Seth Rollins

AJ Styles (c) v Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Championship match)

WM WWE Title.jpg

Double A: Match of the night, and really should main event the night but most likely won't. Either way, these two have had one of the best matches of all time in NJPW and have the potential to top it on the biggest stage possible. Since his call up Shinsuke hasn't been the most impressive, surely not as impressive he can be, but I think tonight that will change. AJ will put on one hell of a match, but in the end he's going to go for a Phenomenal Forearm but instead eat a "KNEE TO FACE!" - Shinsuke Nakamura

Rybo Slice: I hope this can live up to the hype. It should def steal the show if all goes well. Shin will win and more awesome Aj vs Shin battles will follow. (Love the head tap on smackdown btw) - Shinsuke Nakamura

Pink: Match of the night, I don’t really care who wins, as long as I get the match we all want. Hopefully WWE is going to let this match play out without any side story things to ruin it. - AJ Styles

Brundan: This is the match I've been waiting for.  A few years ago in Japan they tore down the house and I see no reason they don't do it again.  AJ is just so good and Nakamura always kills it with guys like him  I think Nakamura takes this in the match of the night. - Shinsuke Nakamura

Brock Lesnar (c) v Roman Reigns (Universal Championship match)

WM Universal.jpg

Rybo Slice: It shoulda been Braun!!! Ugh! Roman as IC champ is perfect but not world champ. Brock’s gonna down after 136 Superman punches and 12 Spears :( - Roman Reigns

Pink: It’s time to get the title off of Brock. Also with what has come about with Brock & the UFC WWE is rethinking the arrangement. - Roman Reigns

Brundan: Remember Brock vs Goldberg at Mania?  Yeah I see this being that.  Roman isn't the most hated wrestler however he could be in a good way.  I don't know what happens with Brock after tonight but Roman will win this.  He needs to turn and should embrace the hate.  Between Finn, Seth and Braun there are enough popular guys for him to run towards Summerslam with.  Roman wins to a chorus of boos and even though their first match was great, this one probably won't be. - Roman Reigns

Double A: Just ugh, this title match is only marginally better than last year's between Brock and Goldberg, and it's no coincidence that Brock is the common factor. I am by no measure a Roman fan, but he's been right with everything he's said in this buildup (except calling Brock Vince's boy, because clearly that is Roman). Regardless, The belt should not be on someone who isn't around to defend it. Hopefully Roman picks up the win and the belt, then drops it to Braun, or Samoa Joe, or anyone else. - Roman Reigns

There you go, come back tomorrow after Mania tonight to see who won. And he's a reminder of our current standings.
