WWE Predictions: Money in the Bank 2017

WWE Predictions: Money in the Bank 2017

Did you like that little poem? I wrote it just for you.

Money in the Bank is almost always an enjoyable PPV, and I don't expect anything different from this one, but there are some doubts surrounding the mid-card.

Much like the previous PPV there has been a last minute addition to the card, they have added a Kickoff match, thankfully this time we were able to catch it and add our predictions.

The Hype Bros vs The Colons

Brundan:WE STAY HYPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - The Hype Bros

Pink: Cause - The Hype Bros

Rybo Slice: The Colons don't know how to win a match - The Hype Bros

Double A: This is an obvious pick, the returning Hype Bros are here to take back their spot they lost when Ryder got injured. If you recall, that match he got taken out of was for #1 contendership for the tag belts that they won. It only makes sense to start them on that roll again... (as the Impractical Jokers would say) WELLLLL, maybe not. Everyone expects the Hype Bros to win and WWE knows that, however they've also been gearing Mojo up for a singles run by having him win the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. I expect a swerve, Ryder is going to turn on Mojo claiming Rawley left him behind to be his own star. and they'll have a mini feud before something real is done with Mojo. -The Colons (or the match gets thrown away)

Main Card

Naomi (c) vs Lana (Smackdown Women's Championship match)

Double A: I'm so glad to see Lana back on TV, and amazed she was catapulted to the main event right away, but I can't see a feasible way for her to actually walk away with the belt already. - Naomi

Brundan: Naomi's kicks piss me off so much.  My son kicks harder then that and he is 4.  However I think she wins only cause they don't pull the trigger on Lana after two weeks.  Naomi

Rybo Slice: Lana makes her singles debut and I'm tickled to see how she does...Will she win the belt? Hells no but I'll be sitting back and enjoying this match. Naomi for the win bc the soon to be champ said so! - Naomi

Pink: To be different no other reason. Naomi is actually going to win, but I'm picking Lana. - Lana

Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Natalya vs. Tamina vs. Carmella (Money in the Bank Ladder match)

Pink: It is a high no woman has had to this point in time, and Charlotte is the person I feel WWE wants to have as the first winner of what will be many more to come.  It could be great, but the first one will not live up to what we have come to expect out of these Ladder matches. There will probably be a few missteps, and hopefully no one missteps too much to hurt themselves or someone else. -Charlotte

Double A: I'm torn on who I want to win this one. Part of me wants Charlotte to win because at the end of the day, her career is going to be the most noteworthy. of the bunch, and having the title of 'first ever Mrs Money in the Bank' winner, would look good on er list of accomplishment, but then again she doesn't need it. She's one of those wrestlers that will always be in the title hunt. Same goes for my second pick, Becky Lynch, mostly because she's easily my favorite in the match. So my choice for winner is... Carmella. Hey, I said the other two are who I want to win it, not who I think will. Carmella, has done absolutely nothing with her career since the call up, and she's got Ellsworth in her pocket. Don't be surprised to see him get involved similarly to the AJ Styles/Dean Ambrose ladder match. - Carmella

Brundan: Let's see, Tamina sucks, Carmella is hot but still not ready, Natalya is great, Becky is still my favorite women ever and Charlotte wins.  Charlotte is going to do something crazy I believe, I just hope no one gets hurt. - Charlotte

Rybo Slice: This is a tough one along with the men's match. I'm gonna go with Charlotte here bc she's the perfect gal to threaten a cash in. She's that damn good and that's why she's ideal to be the one that the champ is always looking over her shoulder for. - Charlotte

The Usos (c) vs The New Day (Smackdown Tag Championship match)

Rybo Slice: Its the black and white wearin champs vs the rainbow colored challengers. It'll be a decent match. I think we got new champs coming bc they r just too pop. That trumpet is gonna be blasting bc we got new champs! New day takes it! - The New Day

Pink: New Day is coming back to the top. And with the win it will start up a good set of matches up and into Summerslam.   Match of the night I have a feeling WWE is going to give them all the time they need to make it a really good match.  - The New Day

Double A: The majority of the build for this match has involved Breezango, and even though I don't expect a screwy finish to the match, I think the storyline is going to continue with all three team, possibly leading to a triple threat tag match at SummerSlam for the belts .As such, I see The Usos retaining, and holding the belts through the summer. - The Usos

Brundan: The New Day win. The Usos continue to bore me.  And I continue to be baffled on why American Alpha are not on TV. - The New Day

Superfluous Commentary:This is the match I was most torn about when writing my predictions, and to see that everyone else voted the other way does make me a little nervous, but I'm going to stick with my guns here. Damned unicorns are going to be my downfall.

Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin vs. Sami Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (Money in the Bank Ladder match)

Brundan: Everyone of these guys could win this match, except maybe Dolph.  Nakamura will be interesting in this match since he was never in a ladder match before since NXT didn't even have a ladder match until last year.  Sami and Owens in a ladder match is always fun.  AJ will do something amazing.  And after all that Corbin will win.  Corbin is loved my the higher ups I believe and has the most to gain from having the briefcase.  - Baron Corbin

Rybo Slice: This is redonk tough! You'd think Nakamura but he's all about the entrance and he wouldn't be able to dance good while holding that briefcase and for that I don't think it's him. I want to pick AJ but I don't see it. I want to see it but I can't god damn it! I got a bad feeling about this but I'm going with Corbin. Ugh I hate this waste of roster room but they want to push him. Maybe I'll like him with this push. We shall see. Baron Corbin

Pink: This is the way WWE is going to jump the line with him. They want to get him into the Championship hunt and the Money in the bank let’s them do that without months of story. I do still have a feeling Sami is going to be the one that will actually come away with the win. - Shinsuke Nakamura

Double A: Each competitor in the match have a legit shot at winning it, but in my head it only really comes down to 2 of the wrestlers. Sami Zayn and Barron Corbin. Kevin and AJ are already established enough that they don't need the MitB contract for a title shot. Shinsuke is on the rise, and will be feuding with Owens for the US title presumably, which is the right spot for him. Although they keep hyping Ziggler's past win, no one would buy him winning in this match. If Sami wins, he'd probably announce his cash in like RVD did, but if Corbin wins, I can see them doing a lot with it. He could cash it in early and it'd fit his character, or he can hold on to it forever and I can see it working for him. So i've got to go with him. - Baron Corbin

Jinder Mahal (c) vs Randy Orton (WWE Championship match)

Double A: I feel like it's too soon to hinder Jinder. If he loses the belt already, at his first title defense, it would just solidify and prove his position as a transitional champ. Besides, did you see that RKO on Smackdown? Orton is clearly better when he's chasing the belt. Jinder is a squirrely heel, and I don't expect him to win clean, possibly with the help of a returning Rusev? In any case, Jinder is retaining. - Jinder Mahal

Brundan: There is no way they are giving up on Jinder so fast.  However I don't know where they go with Orton from here.  I'm going with Jinder but it would not surprise me if Orton get dqed and they come back for a third month. - Jinder Mahal

Rybo Slice: I didn't think Jinder had a chance in their first match but now I don't think Orton has a chance. Jinder is a cool champ and will remain so. Now it's time to crown me the 3 time champ!!!!!!!!!! -Jinder Mahal

Pink: The Bollywood twins are going to be the deciding factor again I think. Jinder is going to be able not to get the win from a underhanded opportunity, but Randy will not be able to forget about the them. - Jinder Mahal

There you have it, our picks for WWE Money in the Bank, come back tomorrow, to see who wins. Will Pink finally get on the score board?
