Dreams: I Must Have Fallen Asleep Watching TV

Dreams: I Must Have Fallen Asleep Watching TV

I feel like this dream needs to come with a warning. There's nothing vulgar, but it may be more of a view in my mind then you'd like. Additionally, I'd like to point out this dream is about 15 years old, if not older.

This dream begins with a friend and me sitting on a couch; this couch is not my own, nor is the house we are in, neither do they belong to my friend. We're watching Friends, which is not something I do/did often. The dream then switches focus to the actual episode as if I were watching it through the camera.

Ross and Rachel are having one of their fights with no real words being said when Joey accidentally sets the whole apartment building on fire resulting, and this is played for comedic effect. In the resulting destruction, Phoebe dies, but this is also only a punchline. The camera then focuses on the fire and zooms in, it continues to zoom in and focuses on the fire, that it is the only thing I can see, the flames. I can't even tell what's being burned anymore, but only that there is fire.

This is "Friends" to all you chitlin's out there that didn't know

The camera pushes through the fire and the dream cuts to an open field with a forest tree line far off to the distance. The weather is perfect, sun shinning down, fluffy white clouds, white birds flying in the air, and absolutely nothing about Friends or the fire.

The point of view of the dream has reverted to my first person, however I am no longer myself but instead I'm Ludo the Yeti from the movie the Labyrinth, and along side me are two more Ludo's, one to the right and the other to the left, the only difference between us is a slight change in the hues of our fur. These Ludo's actually represent my best friends at the time (and to this day)

And here we have Ludo. If you didn't know that, stop reading, go watch Labyrinth (not Pan's Labirynth, but you should watch that as well), then come back here for the rest of this absurd dream

To the far right of us are the three Powerpuff Girls, who are representative of females I, or we, were attracted to at the time. (unfortunately I currently no longer remember who they may have been)

I trust you know where this is going by now, right? These are the Powerpuff Girls. Better to not ask any questions.

Stretching out before us is an obstacle coarse that covers a good distance towards the forest but stops short just before the treeline..

From out of nowhere a gong sounds, signaling the beginning of the obstacle coarse, and the three females are off without a hitch, however the other yeti and I are having an impossible time with the simplest of obstacles. The first obstacle is a set of three narrow beams that we need to walk across, but our bulk hinders our balance (mind you this dream was when I was still skinny). After that, there is a tire run, but our feet are too large to fit inside the tires throwing us further off balance. Next is a cargo net climb that our large hands and feet  couldn't fit in. Then there were rows of monkey bars that we were to climb across but we were to heavy and the bars would beak.

Meanwhile the Powerpuff Girls, being tiny and able to fly, have no difficulty with any of the obstacle.

Eventually we Ludo's get to the end of the coarse, the sun has set and the night is very cloudy, with no moon. We learn that the Powerpuff Girls had finished long ago, and fallen asleep. After which I woke up.

To me it seemed like this dream was telling me I take things way too seriously and make situations more difficult than they have to be, losing touch with what I was originally trying for. That and I watch way too many movies, but I never really watched Friends. And there was no dialogue throughout the dream, even the argument between Ross and Rachel, they were yelling but no discernible words or sounds were coming from their mouths, but I could hear everything else. In the beginning, no words were exchanged between the friend that was watching the episode with me, nor between the Ludo's and the Powerpuffs.

Once again, make of that what you will.
