WWE Predictions: Hell in a Cell 2017

WWE Predictions: Hell in a Cell 2017

Where last PPV felt like it took forever to come around after Summerslam, this one feels like it's right on the heels of No Mercy, but in any case, tonight WWE presents Hell in a Cell. The first PPV in the era of champion Pink who finally broke his incredible losing streak, and earned his first win.

What'll happen tonight? Before we get to that, let's take a look at the scheduled matches.

Kickoff

Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin vs The Hype Bros

hell in a cell kickoff.jpg

Rybo Slice: I like Shelton being back but the Hype Bros gotta win. They just gotta...they gotta do something with them at this point. Then get ready for them to break up and kick the crap out of each other. You know it! - The Hype Bros

Double A: I have no idea what Vince and the WWE offered Shelton Benjamin to return, but I'm sure he was hoping for more than this. Either way he'll get the win along with Gable, and The Hype Bros will use the loss to further their heel turn along. Or they'll just break up, and that's fine too. - Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin

Brundan:  I love the hype bros but I think their time have come.  Gable and Benjamin are a fun tag team and will be in line for a shot after they win here. - Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin

Pink: This is hopefully the way we get Shelton Benjamin into a singles career again. Other than that I really don’t have much as it comes to thoughts about this match. - The Hype Bros

Randy Orton vs Rusev

hell in a cell orton.jpg

Double A:  As much as I like Rusev, I have absolutely no idea what they're doing with him anymore. He needs a win, but WWE will always feel like they need to protect Randy Orton, so he'll get the win, and hopefully Rusev will feud with someone they'd let him beat. - Randy Orton

Brundan:  Has anyone had a worse year then Orton?  He will probably take this because for some reason wwe refuses to hit the gas on Rusev. - Randy Orton

Pink: I got nothing to say why I really think Randy should win. It’s not a good storyline for either of them. I just think Randy should get the win, it will probably be used to continue this feud between them for at least another PPV.  And since Rusev has had the upper hand a lot of the times during the build up Randy will probably get the win. - Randy Orton

Rybo Slice: RKO! 1, 2, 3! - Randy Orton

Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler

hell in a cell ziggler.jpg

Brundan:  this should be an easy one. Roode takes it and it is glorious. -, Bobby Roode

Pink: This will give Dolph more things to bitch about when WWE continues with his character the way it is now.  It will be a good match, and I think Dolph will have the upper hand for a good part of the match. But in the end Booby will win, and Dolph will use that with the character to say even though you have much better Wrestler you, the WWE Universe, sides with the Characters these people are giving you. - Bobby Roode

Rybo Slice:  I'm liking the new Dolph with his entrances and goin pure jerk face. Roode is gonna whoop him though sadly. Dolph will forever b the biggest waste of talent on the roster. - Bobby Roode

Double A: I know everyone is easily chalking this one up as a win for Roode, and they're probably correct, but Ziggler losing cleanly, completely deflates this repackage of a non-character. A lose here means WWE has completely given up on Ziggler, and while that's most likely the case, I'm holding out hope. - Dolph Ziggler

AJ Styles (c) vs Baron Corbin (United States Championship match)

hell in a cell us.jpg

Pink: Corbin finally getting his first title. - Baron Corbin

Rybo Slice: Corbin blows so bad. He doesn't do or say anything worth a roster spot in WWE. He better not get that belt. - AJ Styles

Double A: This is a tough one, but all because of Baron. Either he can win the belt, and reclaim any ground lost over the past few months, or he fails to become champ, and his story for the next little bit is how he chokes when it matters. I could see him being a good heel champion, but there's no way he beats AJ. - AJ Styles

Brundan: I've soured on Corbin lately.  To me this is all about seeing how great AJ is. AJ for the win. - AJ Styles

Natalya (c) vs Charlotte Flair (Smackdown Women's Championship match)

hell in a cell women.jpg

Rybo Slice:  This is mega tough!!!! I'm gonna say it's not time yet for Natty to drop it though. I could be wrong though. Woooooo! - Natalya

Double A: Even if Ric Flair wasn't recently hospitalized Charlotte was always going to win this one. - Charlotte Flair

Brundan: Natalya is one of my favorites but it's time for the queen to win and take her place as smackdown woman's champ. For five minutes.  And then Carmella cashes in. - Charlotte Flair

Pink: Charlotte beats Natalya finally. It’s going to probably be an OK match. I do think things are going to come down to the last pinfall. There’s going to be lots of back and forth towards the end, reverses pin falls like 27 times. But in the end Charlotte becomes the second female to hold both the Smackdown & Raw Women’s Title. - Charlotte Flair

The New Day (c) vs The Usos (Hell in a Cell Smackdown Tag Team Championship match)

hell in a cell tag.jpg

Double A:  I almost don't care who wins, because I know this is going to be an amazing match regardless. However, I feel the New Day retains, so they can move on to a new competitor, and the Usos will get lost in the shuffle. - The New Day

Brundan: this is gonna be a tough one because these guys have traded wins back and forth since the new day came to smackdown. This will probably steal the show because they always seem to.  I thin Usos take this and move onto Gable and Benjamin. - The Usos

Pink: Match of the night hands down. They are both going to give us a show that will have New Day pulling out he win. - The New Day

Rybo Slice: No more of these 2! It's always them going at on each ppv. New Day will keep it though. - The New Day

Jinder Mahal (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Championship match)

hell in a cell wwe.jpg

Brundan: oh my god if it wasn't for bray vs Orton earlier in the year this one would be the worst feud of the year. Jinder I feel has been on autopilot since winning the title.  Same boring promo about people not liking him cause of who he is. Same average to bad match.  Same interference to keep the title.  This has to be it.  Either give the title to Nakamura now or let him go back to Japan cause he will be dead in the water here.  I'm hoping Nakamura wins so I will pick him - Shinsuke Nakamura

Pink: Nakamura wins, because I feel with this whole building to the match WWE has even gotten India to truly truly hate Jinder, and from where I stand this has been the best I have seen WWE kind of make you want the other guy win the Belt in a long time. They have now made Jinder into this evil villain, that is good for this feud. Shinsuke will come off as this heroic champ, and not as oh we’re giving this superstar the title cause we had to, like we still feel about Roman. - Shinsuke Nakamura

Rybo Slice: I'm over him as champ but sadly it isn't over for him just yet. - Jinder Mahal

Double A: Can someone explain to me why this match, that is for the title, and is a rematch of a fight where there was interference, isn't in a Cell? The story is already written there for it by having the Singh stooges around and having interfered in every one of Mahal's matches since becoming champ... I just don't get it. Either way, Shinsuke better win the fucking belt. I'll be pissed with any other outcome, but of course this being WWE I doubt he's actually going to win. - Shinsuke Nakamura

Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens (Hell in a Cell)

hell in a cell shane.jpg

Pink: Owens gets the win in the end. At least if he doesn’t this whole story of him going to take WWE for my current heartbreaks can go away. If Shane wins than the McMahons get justification, but Owens doesn’t and this storyline continues. We will see Shane do something stupid, but in the long run it will have been for nothing as Owens gets himself the win

Rybo Slice: Shane is going to bust his ass!!! I'll be waiting for that epic fall.. KO got this in the bag. - Kevin Owens

Double A: This will be an entertaining match, but I don't like the idea of it headlining the PPV. It's not for the title (or any title) and I feel that having Shane in it, makes the fight more of a sideshow attraction as opposed to an actual match. Shane will do something stupid, hopefully not jumping off the top again only to lose. It'd be too much of a rehash from his Taker match at Mania last year. I know this feud is going to continue through until Survivor Series, but I sure as hell hope Kevin wins this one. - Kevin Owens

Brundan: this will probably be brutal and violent.  I still think some how this will end up with a future return of Triple H. I really hope Shane doesn't come off the cage again because that took forever last time. Once is enough.  Hopefully Owens brutally ends this and puts Shane out for a while. - Kevin Owens
