Yes, I'm thanking you. Because of everyone that voted for "Ghost Train Out" I am a two time Preditors & Editors award winner. "Ghost Train Out" has won the award for best horror short story of 2017. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Additionally, my best friend, Marc Sorondo, won the award for best sci-fi/fantasy short story for 2017. So a huge congrats to him. You can check his website here.
The story behind how "Ghost Train Out" came about is an odd one. Marc (remember him from up there ^) had the broad idea of The Rat Pack as demons, but he couldn't think of a story for it. He offered it up to me, however he said if I were to use it, I'd have to set the story on a train, just to make the writing process that much harder. However, for whatever reason, the idea gelled together, and "Ghost Train Out" was written.
So for that germination of an idea, I thank Marc.
Always by my side, Sable Diakos, has supported me since day one, encouraging me to write that elusive best seller. I may not be there yet, but with her by my side, it's an inevitability.
For that undying support, thank you my fiance, Sable.
Finally, however equally as important are the wonderful women behind Mystery & Horror LLC, Sarah Glenn and Gwen Mayo. Without them, "Nightmare Noir" may never have been published, meaning I wouldn't have won the award for best horror short story of 2015, and "Ghost Train Out" possibly wouldn't have seen the light of day, and wouldn't have won the 2017 best horror short story.
As promised, now that the winners have been announced, AzarRising.com and the AzarRising Mobile Bookstore are hosting a storewide book sale on everything I have in stock. Starting today, and lasting for a week, everything in stock is 17% off (that's for winning the 2017 award).
Additionally, tomorrow I will announce the lucky winner of the free book giveaway. So check back for that.
Once again, thank you everyone.
